Saturday, Oct. 10 | 10 a.m.–Noon | Abide Coffee, 1799 Great Hammock Bend, Hammock Bay | Freeport
Connect with the men and women who serve and protect our community during Abide Coffee’s second annual Coffee With a Hero. Local law enforcement, fire and rescue personnel and a large military presence will give families opportunities to ask questions, hear their stories and build relationships in a relaxed setting over coffee.
Kids can explore police cars, a fire truck and military robots, try on a bomb suit, and enjoy coloring activities and giveaways. Beyond the hands-on fun, the gathering encourages neighbors to spend time getting to know their local heroes.
Abide will provide complimentary drip coffee and baked goods for participating first responders and military personnel. The coffee shop also offers community heroes 10% off specialty drinks every day.
“We’re excited to bring this event back for a second year and hopefully introduce even more of our Freeport community to the people who serve and protect us,” said Stephanie Brown of Abide Coffee Co. “We hope to see you there!”
