A Pastor’s Pondering: Hope You Can See

By Sam Brown, Campus Pastor, Crosspoint, Freeport

There’s something about the Christmas season that reawakens hope. Even in a world that feels fractured and weary, December has a way of reminding us that light still breaks through the dark.

At Crosspoint, we believe that hope isn’t just something we talk about, in fact it’s something we live out. That’s why our Freeport Campus, along with our Niceville and Bluewater Bay campuses, is joining together again this year to host the Crosspoint Christmas Store.

The Christmas Store is one of my favorite things we do. It allows families in our community to shop for brand-new gifts for their children at deeply discounted prices with dignity, love and joy. Every toy wrapped and every smile shared point to a greater truth: The hope of Christmas isn’t found under a tree; it’s found in the One who hung on one for us.

Jesus said in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” As His followers, we get to reflect that light in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools and even in the checkout lines this season.

So, let me ask you a quick question: Where and how are you serving people this Christmas? Who around you needs to experience the light of Christ through your kindness, generosity or simple presence? The hope of Christmas grows when it’s shared. Let’s be people who share this hope wherever we go and in our sphere of influence.

If you’re looking for a place to reconnect with that hope, we’d love to have you join us for our Christmas Eve services at Crosspoint Freeport —
